Are you happy? How do you know? What does it mean to "trust your gut?" We're so excited to show off our new anthology "Happy If You Know It" featuring artists and writers including Ness Lee, Margaux Williamson, Anne Thériault and Frankie Barnet. This highly anticipated follow-up to "You Care Too Much" (November 2016) tackles our desire to better understand that complicated friend: Intuition.
Our last few events have sold out, and we HATE turning folks away at the door. Strongly urge you to order advance tickets here.
Have you ever had the kind of feelings that got caught in the back of your throat? Us too. We've put together an amazing lineup of women storytellers with real stories to tell about THE ONES who left us with feelings we can't quite shake. This event is in celebration of our RElaunch of Portraits the book, inspired by unresolved feelings. We'll have copies for sale at the event.
We’re hosting our first ever reading event, featuring new work from the contributors of You Care Too Much, a collection of writing and art on the question of self care. We’re thrilled to be hosting Inuit writer and designer Adina Tarralik Duffy (Coral Harbour, Nunavut) and long-time community organizer Jessika Hepburn (Lunenburg, NS), as well as locals Brooke Manning (owner of Likely General) and Sofia Mostaghimi (Past curator of the Emerging Writer Reading Series). Just like YCTM, the readings will be as diverse as their authors, ranging from creative non-fiction to poetry to short fiction.
