We were friends for months before she told me she “liked girls” and asked if she could kiss me. I was so attracted to her forwardness and really flattered. I had always felt the need to be whatever I thought everyone else wanted me to be, but Dana helped me see that it was bullshit living life like that. She was beautiful. We spent the night together, and I learned what sex could feel like without shame.
